The Turner Grand Concert features a smaller body and waist and also a shallower depth than the more common dreadnought shape. Players often comment on how comfortable an instrument it is to play - whether in a studio, on stage or just sat on the sofa! Incorporating light, smooth bass and punchy mids with great treble sustain the Turner Grand Concert offers just the right amount of punch and volume whilst still remaining 'open' sounding.
 
Featured here is the Turner 62 CE. We paired together tonewoods that just sound fantastic, using a clear and articulate solid spruce top with stunning flame maple back and sides. Maple offers very clear fundamentals and chiming treble. A dense hardwood sometimes perceived as tonally ‘bright’, the maple 60 Series will cut through clearly in any live band or group setting. When you combine this gorgeous pairing with the grand concert body shape you get a tight, punchy and crystal clear tone which is ideal for fingerpicking and cutting through in a group!
With offset pearl fret markings on a bound rosewood fingerboard, the traditional 3 ring soundhole rosette and understated decorations keep the focus on the finish quality and gorgeous wood choices of these instruments. These guitars sound incredible amplified, thanks to their Fishman under saddle pickup and Isys+ preamp system with two band EQ, feedback cancelling “Phase” switch and built in tuner. There’s also a smooth cutaway which allows easy access to the upper frets.
